Markosky is proud to be celebrating over 25 years in business. We are a woman-owned company and provide an array of environmental and engineering services.
Our staff is trained with and continually practices a culture of COLLABORATION. Cross-discipline training is a large part of this culture. Having professionals adept in multiple areas allows us to ensure that our clients' best achieve their budget, scheduling and performance goals. Crucial deadlines are consistently met because environmental scientists support engineers, engineers assist archaeologists, and bridge inspectors help out with design and detailing tasks.
Preserve Recycle Reuse
Markosky focuses on sustainability. We volunteer for activities such as Adopt-A-Highway cleanup. We reduce the waste within our company by using local recycling programs. We support organizations dedicated to improving the environment, such as Watershed associations. These practices are also evident in our work on projects. Our Environmental Division, which includes a Cultural Resources Department, is trained and knowledgeable when it comes to preserving nature and structures, proper permitting, and monitoring projects during construction.
We also strive to preserve as much as possible. Our home office, located in Ligonier, PA was once the home of our founder, Joyce Markosky’s grandparents. The home was preserved and integrated into our current modern office building design. Find out more about our headquarters building!
Our Commitment to Safety
The safety of our employees and subconsultants is of utmost importance at Markosky. We have a Workplace Safety Committee which is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, as well as registrations with ISNetworld and Avetta. Markosky employees and our subconsultants are dedicated to complying with any project specific, on-site safety programs which are required for each specific project.
